BELTON -- The Belton Police Department responded to two burglary of building forced entry calls of Fleetwood Homes offices within the past two weeks, according to police reports.

Belton police first responded to a burglary of a building call at the Fleetwood Home office on the 500 block of Sparta Road, on Monday, Jan. 5, after an employee reported at around 9:13 a.m., he found the office had been burglarized. The burglary is believed to have occurred between 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, and Monday, Jan. 5.

The following items totaling $3,163 were reported stolen: a 43-inch screen Samsung 43P.8 television, valued at $1,109; a Phillips MX105 surround-sound DVD player, valued at $290; two a 43-inch Two Samsung 42 HD televisions, valued at $1,109 each; a DVD player with surround sound valued at $290; a Magnavox MR, valued at $290; and wood frames valued at $75.

Officers responded to a second Fleetwood Homes office burglary located at the 1300 block of Industrial Boulevard after a man reported at around 11:41 p.m., Monday, Jan. 12, it had been burglarized. The burglary is believed to have occurred between 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, Monday morning.

The following Whirlpool appliances totaling $1,286 were stolen from the office: a refrigerator, valued at $570; dishwasher, valued at $216; gas dryer, valued at $240; and washer at $260.

Jen Wesley, a Belton Police Department spokeswoman, said the crimes were probably committed by the same people.

The police department have no leads in either of the cases, Cmdr. Wesley said.

Belton Police Department officers also responded to the following calls:

-- Jan. 8 -- Officers responded to a theft call at Frank's Marina on the 3200 block of Lake Park Road after a man there reported a barge was taken across the lake and equipment on it was stolen. Value of the stolen items is $7,460. Items stolen include: a Honda, 200-amp S. Generator/Welder combo, valued at $3,500; a 25-HP outbound motor, valued at $3,000; a 200-foot ground cable, valued at $250; a 200-foot ground cable, valued at $250; a 200-foot coil of rope, valued at $260; and a cutting torch, valued at $200.

-- Jan. 10 -- Officers responded to a burglary of a vehicle call in the 600 block of 1st Avenue, after a woman reported someone had broken into her two-door 1997 Chevrolet Camaro and had stolen a gold, diamond-studded wedding band from her car, valued at $1,500.
