Fort Hood Sentinel
Help tell “The Great Place” story as the
next Living Editor for the award-winning
Fort Hood Sentinel, the official newspaper
of Fort Hood.
The Fort Hood Sentinel and associated
website ( are the
primary source of news and information
about the largest single-site employer in
Texas. The audience includes officers,
enlisted soldiers, military family members,
civilian employees, contractors, veterans
and thousands of area residents.
The next Living Editor will be an excellent
writer and good photographer. They will
be responsible for quality of life features,
a weekly destination/travel article and
general assignment news stories. They will
cherish the opportunity to help soldiers
and their families appreciate all there is to
see and do in Central Texas — one of the
country’s fastest growing areas.
A bachelor’s degree or commensurate
reporting and photography experience is
required. Experience with InDesign and
Photoshop are preferred.
The Fort Hood Sentinel is produced by
the Temple Daily Telegram under an
agreement with the U.S. Army. The Living
Editor will be a Telegram employee.
