Chlöe — the elder half of Chloe x Halle — is releasing her solo debut, “In Pieces,” with help from Chris Brown, Missy Elliott and Future, while the film “Tetris” on Apple TV+ explores the wild origin story of the popular video game. A docuseries on Fuse tackles issues surrounding women in sports, and the Apple TV+ series “The Big Door Prize” explores what happens when people’s true purpose in life is revealed.

This week’s new entertainment releases include fresh albums from Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding, the landing of “Top Gun: Maverick” on Paramount+ and a TV show centered on an FBI agent who gets pulled into danger and secret missions aboard “The Night Agent” streams on Netflix. Apple TV+ has “My Kind of Country,” in which Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton and Orville Peck search for talented amateur artists, while actor Mae Whitman, best-known for her roles in “Parenthood” and “Good Girls,” demonstrates she can also sing in her new rom-com series “Up Here” for Hulu.

Taylor Swift opened her U.S. concert series with a three-hour tour of her career. Swift kicked off the first concert of the 27-date Eras Tour with a six-song set Friday night from her album “Lover” at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where the Super Bowl was played a month ago. She ended the concert with seven songs from her latest album “Midnights." In between she played at least one song from each of her albums. After another show at the same venue Saturday night, the tour moves on to Allegiant Stadium outside Las Vegas then AT&T Stadium near Dallas.

Newly minted Academy Award winners kicked up their heels at post-Oscars parties. Best actress winner Michelle Yeoh and best supporting actress nominee Angela Bassett had a long, warm hug at the Vanity Fair party after Yeoh walked in to a wave of congratulations. Yeoh's win was one of seven on the night for “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” Brendan Fraser, best actor winner for “The Whale,” got similar love when he walked into the party holding his Oscar. Earlier at the Governor's Ball, Yeoh's castmates Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis caused a stir when they walked in to have their supporting actor and actress Oscars engraved.

Jimmy Kimmel promised “no nonsense” at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday as Hollywood reconvened for a ceremony that will try to move past one of the most infamous moments in Oscar history. The telecast, airing live on ABC, opened traditionally: with a montage of the year’s films (with Kimmel edited into a cockpit in “Top Gun: Maverick”) and a lengthy monologue.  Brendan Fraser won best actor while Michelle Yeoh took home the best actress trophy, the first Asian woman to win in the category. “Everything Everywhere” was dominant, winning six awards before best picture was announced.
