An Austin woman was arrested and charged with the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old boy that allegedly happened at a house party in Temple.
Savanna Nicole Spurlock, 21, was in the Bell County Jail Monday, held on a $100,000 bond for the second-degree felony charge.
Teenagers, preteens and adults were at a party at a Temple apartment in mid-August. Information was discovered during the Temple Police Department investigation that the teenage boy reportedly had sex with two adult women, an arrest affidavit said. No other woman was named in the affidavit.
A relative of the teenager made a statement that the boy said he had sex with Spurlock and knew she was 21 years old. The boy also wrote a statement in which he said he lied to his parents about where he was going and, instead, went to the apartment where Spurlock stayed with family members.
The teenager said Spurlock told him not to tell anyone what they’d done because “she would have to go to jail for 10 years,” the affidavit said.
Two other people said the teenage boy and Spurlock told them they had sexual intercourse, and the boy also said during a forensic exam that he had sex with her.
Bell County Justice of the Peace David Barfield issued a warrant for Spurlock’s arrest on Nov. 5.
If convicted of the sexual assault charge, Spurlock could be sentenced to not less than two years but not more than 20 years in prison, according to the Texas Penal Code.
