Wreck on I-35 in Salado

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a Freightliner box truck late Saturday evening on northbound Interstate 35 near the Salado rest area. Sgt. Bryan Washko said the 2016 Freightliner box truck, operated by a 20 year-old driver from Dallas, was northbound on I-35 when the driver failed to control his speed and collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer as it was slowing down to exit. All occupants of the Freightliner truck were injured and transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured. DPS is investigating the crash, Washko said.
