KILLEEN — Killeen Police confirmed a body was found Wednesday afternoon, in Nolan Creek south of downtown Killeen.
Police have no identification or cause of death, said Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez.
A passer-by reported seeing a body about 3:15 p.m., she said.
The man was pronounced dead at 3:40 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke. He ordered an autopsy, Miramontez said.
Killeen homicide investigators went to the scene, but that is protocol, she said. The death has not been ruled a homicide.
